What Makes a Good Website?

We all know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we all vary and have our own tastes and ideas on what is attractive.
However there are some basic principles which guide us in determining what makes a good website. First the website needs to be clear and easy to navigate.
It is no good if your customer is looking for something specific like your contact phone number for example and it is nowhere to be found. Or if they are looking for the navigation menu and cant find it. Of course if you have used your own website and know exactly where everything is, it might see easy to you, but that is no good if your customers cant find what they are looking for, they probably wont ask you they will simply move on to your competitors and then you have lost a customer.

So your navigation menu needs to be in an obvious place, such as at the top or on the side. This needs to remain consistent throughout your website, so when the customer goes to another page, the navigation menu is in the same place and they dont need to look for it.

Be unique, it is important that something about your website is unique and memorable. if your company site look exactly the same as every other website in your industry how are your customers going to be attracted to you? Why would they choose you over the others? You want to stick in their mind.
